Start from how you want to live, not from a price slider

The lifestyle brief is a short written record of the conditions a countryside property has to satisfy. We use it to build a shortlist and, just as importantly, a written list of the properties we excluded and why.

  1. 01Land area in hectares, stated as a range rather than a single figure.
  2. 02Condition grade A to D, from ready to live in through to structural work required.
  3. 03Infrastructure status: connected, on the boundary, shared with a neighbour, or absent.
  4. 04Access road condition, including whether the approach is passable in winter.
  5. 05Region and lifestyle preset, such as remote work, family homestead, orchard use or weekend retreat.

Filling the brief takes about ten minutes. Vague answers are accepted: part of our work is turning them into measurable criteria before any viewing is arranged.
